“As a Learning Specialist, one of the first things I evaluate is a students approach to organization. No matter the age, school, or learning style, students generally struggle to stay organized.”
- Stacey Lowenberg Learning Specialist and Founder of My BFF®
Stacey specializes in teaching children with various learning deficiencies including dyslexia, dyscalculia, executive functioning disability, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. She also teaches reading comprehension and writing strategies, utilizing several teaching methodologies including Orton-Gillingham and Wilson Reading Systems®.

Her first product, My BFF®, is an all-in-one binder, folder, and filer system that provides children with the tools to stay organized both in and out of school. Along with My BFF®, Stacey created a Mac App that integrates the MY BFF® system with the computer desktop.
From 2002 to 2010, Stacey was a Reading Specialist at New York’s Stephen Gaynor School, which specializes in teaching 5-14 year old children with learning differences. In 2006, she founded STAR Educational Consulting, LLC., a private tutoring and consulting company.

With students increasingly relying on computers for homework, research and organization,123 Organize Me® has developed a MAC computer application designed to help students keep their computer desktops organized. Similar to the concept of My BFF®, every subject gets assigned a color coded folder for students' work allowing for quick retrieval.
In addition, the software prompts students to save their work under easily recognizable names based on the title of their assignment, teaching them a valuable technique that we all now rely on. The program additionally customizes every opened document with a header including the student's name, date, teacher and subject. At the end of a term, students have the option to archive their work so that they can create new subject folders, without deleting or losing track of old documents. The program allows for the creation of up to 12 folders so that students can use the software for documents outside of school as well.
